Caribbean Open For Business?

I think it’s fair to say the parts of the Caribbean have been devastated by the recent hurricane, the worst in a decade, and a real shock to the stunning archipelago.

However, the strength and unity that the islanders and have shown, and with the help of various aid from other countries, primarily the US, have seen a huge amount of resorts re-open in double quick time.

It’s impressive to see the resolve and I’m super pleased that tourism should return to a normal state for the Caribbean, hopefully within a matter of months, even in the worst hit areas.

Yes there is still a way to go of course, and you could argue that the islands are used to dealing with these kind of catastrophes, but still it’s amazing to see that they are getting back on their feet.

Tourism is everything to the Caribbean, and having been there myself on a holiday to Barbados, you can see why. Stunning scenery, glistening white sandy beaches, scuba, sailing, rum punch, coconuts & luxury hotels. The list goes on!

So the message from me is to remain faithful to the Caribbean – keep booking those hotels, cruises and island hopping boat tours! We need to fully support the Caribbean in it’s hour of need!

I for one am already looking at a cruise out there hopefully next year – although my wife will tell you otherwise!

Speaking of cruises, it’s also been amazing to see how ships have been on rescue missions to the affected areas, genuinely dropping everything to do what they can.

Some of the itineraries have been effected, but a lot remains unchanged, so don’t worry too much if you have something booked up, you’ll still get a great cruise and some beautiful places to visit!

Caribbean Cruising Is Back!

Thanks for reading and as always, until next time…
