Starting to look a bit Black

With official Black Friday date, 23rd November, just 1 week away – we are noticing the trend in the Cruise business too, not just the high street that this is no longer just a “One day only” event…

Black Friday is the informal name for the day after Thanksgiving Day in the United States, the 4th Thursday of November, which was regarded as the beginning of the country’s Christmas Shopping season since 1952… This has now been adopted in many Countries around the world, through retailers with origins in the United States.

I have actually started my Christmas shopping today as a certain large online retailer have a massive saving on their Deal of the Day today – as part of Black Friday 10 days – on something on a Christmas list of one of my step-children.  I think I am quite safe in that he is unlikely to read this, but also being nearly 17 they have fixed ideas of what they want anyway and it is just a case of who will get me this !!..

But, back to the point.. Last year many of the major Cruise Lines including Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival had some absolutely brilliant offers and I am sure there will be some equally good offerings this year – all under wraps at the moment…  We here at Cruise.co.uk are also planning our own Black Friday campaign and last year this event went from Friday – Monday with some AMAZING deals.
