Carnival return to the Med

Following one of the strangest announcements in Cruise history  of the Carnival Victory going for a refit and being renamed the Carnival Radiance – normally cruise ships only change name when changing to a different Cruise Line not just renamed with the same company – Carnival have now announced itinerary details for the “new” Carnival Radiance and it is good news for those looking for a Mediterranean Cruise.

Carnival Radiance is set to sail after a $ 200 million dry dock renovation late April 2020 (taking place in Cadiz, Spain) commencing with a 10 day Mediterranean sailing from Barcelona.  This will be followed by 9 and 12 day departures visiting Italy, France, Croatia, Greece, Malta & Spain before she embarks on a 13 day transatlantic sailing from Barcelona to New York on the 11th June 2020.

Radiance will then continue its inaugural season with sailings from New York, before re-positioning further to Port Canaveral for the Winter Caribbean cruise programme.

Radiance will feature a host of exciting new on board amenities – including refurbished cabins and new water slides. Renowned as “Fun Ships”, Carnival offer some great facilities for the family and younger cruise market – and should you ever miss KFC whilst away on holiday then the new Big Chicken restaurant could be just the answer for you, serving up chicken strips & burgers.

Radiance will also feature a new Ropes Course climbing challenge – I would find this scary enough to do whilst on land but this looks quite scary to be doing at sea.

Have you ever cruised with Carnival ?

Are you a VIFP – Very Important Fun Person – their own loyalty membership programme and excited by the news of their return to Europe. ?

Let me know if I can be of any assistance in your future cruise plans.

Until next time

Frankie
