So this year its Adventure of the seas turn, she is one of the older ships in the fleet launching back in 2001 she carries approx 3000 passengers and is part of the ‘Voyager’ class of ships.

In November 2016 she will head to dry dock and undertake a $61 million dollar refurbishment and royal Caribbean arent holding back! So what do you get for a $61 million dollar refurbishment I hear you ask?

Heres a list of just some off the new features;

Waterslides on deck

Flowrider

Children’s waterpark

Izumi Japanese restauarnt

Chops Grille

Plus an extra 100 staterooms will be added onboard so even more customers can enjoy the new features onboard Adventure of the Seas. Once she returns from dry dock she will be based out of San Juan in Puerto Rico taking on various Caribbean itinerary’s which is the perfect weather to enjoy the new water slides and children’s waterpark on top deck!

Adventure used to be based out of Southampton during the summer months so she has many UK guests that have cruised onboard, with these extra facilities and refurbishment I think she would be a huge hit if she was based back in Southampton, hopefully at some point in the future she may grace Southampton with her presence once again!
