Celebrity Eclispe Here We Come!

So today I will be embarking on my first ever Celebrity cruise onboard the Eclipse. I have never sailed with celebrity cruises before so I am really excited to see what they offer as they always look so fantastic and right up my street! Celebrity Eclipse launched back in 2010 so in the world of cruising she is still a fairly new ship.

Unfortunately for me it is only a 2 night sailing across to Le Harve, France from Southampton , i’d much prefer a 14 night Mediterranean sailing but I will have to settle for a 2 night trip for now! We are leaving our little boy Alfie who is 2 with my mum for the weekend so 2 nights away from him is enough!

Celebrity’s facilities are what excites me, the fantastic bars and restaurants on offer! For me one of the main aspects of cruising is fantastic food and drink and from what I hear celebrity cruises seem to offer this including specialty restaurants and the martini bar looks very interesting!

We also decided to upgrade to the concierge balcony cabin which include a few little extras such as sparking wine and fresh fruit in the cabin, and daily canapes plus other bits and bobs so I will report back on if the concierge grade of cabin is worth it!

As for the itinerary, I have never been to Le Harve before, you can travel right into Paris form the port but it is a little distance away so I dont plan on doing this but im sure we will have a browse locally but then get back onboard to enjoy the ships facilities.
