Celebrity Edge

This week saw the newest ship in the Celebrity brand go on sale. This is the first ship in the Celebrity Edge class, meaning there are more to come. Up until then it had all been a bit cloak and dagger, but it didn’t disappoint one bit. I personally love the name and think it fits in  with the names of the rest of the fleet really well. What had me in awe was seeing the Magic carpet restaurant on the side of the ship. It looks fantastic and other than Harmony’s Tidal Wave , there is nothing else quite like it.

Here are some of the things you can expect on board:

Magic Carpet

The first floating platform that rises 13 floors above sea level. It is designed with plush seating, a full bar and an area for live music. Depending on the positioning the function changes. The Magic carpet changes from a venue were Celebrity host mouth watering experiences such as : Dinner on the Edge, Down to Deck 14 it serves as an extension to the pool area. On Deck 5 it becomes an open air dining area.

Rooftop Garden

This is one of the places guests can enjoy games and activities throughout the day and when evening comes you can listen to live music or enjoy the ‘A Taste of Film’ pairing with a movie and meal.

The interior looks very modern and brightly decorated and are bigger than any other Celebrity staterooms.

The inaugural sailing is on the 16th of December 2018 from its home port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. So unfortunately there is a bit of time to wait. But it doesn’t stop you booking the perfect cruise and having something luxurious to look forward to.
