Jewel of the Seas, here I come!

In a little over 9 days I will be embarking on my 7th cruise of this year on board the beautiful Jewel of the Seas.

Here is the full itinerary, it’s a Greek Islands and Turkey cruise from Rome.

Civitavecchia – Naples – At Sea – Mykonos – Santorini – Kusadasi – Athens – Katakolon – At Sea – Civitavecchia.

A beautiful itinerary on board a classic cruise ship which, I’m sure, will have all of my favourite cruise ship traits!

We are staying in a balcony cabin and are flying out from London Stansted on the same day.

We have decided to stay on board in Naples as we visited there in July on board the stunning Carnival Vista. In Mykonos we are going to have a little wander in to ‘Little Venice’, a picture postcard spot that has a host of cafes and shops to look around. In Santorini we are of course heading to the top, we want to see the blue villa tops and naturally the stunning views! This is done my cable car (wish me luck getting Hannah on that!). We’re then moving on to Kusadasi, after some research we’ve decided to stick to the Market near the port and swiftly move back to the ship, we are definitely disembarking. In Athens we will be hopping in a taxi to of course explore the ancient Acropolis and it’s panoramic view of Greece’s capital. This will be my first time to Athens! We are then finally on to our last port of Katakolon, the closest major attraction is Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games. We have decided to stay close to the centre and enjoy the day on the beach.

So the ship itself, I am honestly unsure on what to expect. It’s a new class of ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet for me. I am so excited to explore it’s quiet corners and pick out my favourite spots.

After cruising on mainly new ships this year I am certainly looking forward to seeing a true cruise ship which has been well and truly run in!

Happy Cruising!
