Anyone for a day out Trampolining????

As a birthday treat for my son’s 10th Birthday, he wanted to go to Airhop in Bristol.

The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining and the drive was lovely. I was so excited as i was gonna see my friend/colleague that i met on my training course back in February, it was great to see her and her two gorgeous little girls.

A massive indoor warehouse full of trampolines , 100’s of sweaty kids and mum’s and dad’s all sat in the gallery watching their kids whilst we were drinking tea and coffee.

The children have to sit through a safety video, explaining how to behave and prevent accidents from happening, as believe it or not trampolining has a high rate of injuries, fortunately we all escaped unharmed.

In the main area there were over 50 interconnected trampolines, the boys loved the foam pit, where they could launch themselves into a giant foam pit of foam cubes. The boys split into groups for a game of Dodgeball, bouncing around trying to catch each other out.

They then tried themselves out as the famous “Michael Jordan” (famous slam dunk expert) bouncing high and scoring in the net, they made it look so easy. Ever seen the programe total wipeout?, the boys had a go with a revolving arm with different platforms to jump over. Then the gladiators kicked in, knocking each other off the beam and into the gigantic foam pit.

After their jumping session we went over to the Mall @ Cribbs Causeway, for a spot of retail therapy, kids soon got bored, but it was a temptation that i could not resist.

We went to Frankie & Benny’s as kids were absolutely starving by this point. After we had eaten, rather then order desserts, i took a birthday cake so we could all sing “Happy Birthday”.

The waitor bought Max’s cake to him and over the loud speakers “Happy Birthday” began playing and the whole restaurant sang to my boy, he was so embarrassed, but loved it really.

All in all what a fantastic day!

Airhop what a innovation, please can you bring your invention further south down the M5 to Exeter?
