I cant believe travel agents are going here. I wouldn’t go would you??

Its been nearly 3 years since the Uk travel firms stopped going to Tunisia Due to the horrific terror attacks in 2015.  Now 3 years on its time to start selling this once popular tourist destination again.About 220 holidaymakers flew from Birmingham to Enfidha airport with the Thomas Cook on Tuesday, with the same number boarding a flight from Manchester later in the day. Another flight to Enfidha will depart from Gatwick airport on Wednesday. It is more than six months after the Foreign Office lifted its advice against non-essential travel to the north African country. The foreign office had an all but essential travel embargo for british holiday makers. Believe it or now German Belgian Holiday makers have been going ever since the terror attack happened.

The question i would like to know is it safe? The FCO says: “Terrorists are still very likely to try to carry out attacks in Tunisia. Security forces remain on a high state of alert in Tunis and other places. You should be vigilant at all times, including around religious sites and festivals.”

I worked for Thomas Cook for over 6 years and Tunisia was one of its top selling destinations. I have been there myself and the country has so much to offer. It is only a 3 hour flight from the Uk and you’re getting good weather all year round. The beaches are gold sandy and it is a country with so much culture and history. To top it all of it is really cheap to book and even cheaper when you are in resort. It is such a shame that these attacks had to happen as Tunisia relies on their Tourism. I know I wouldn’t go back there now and I think it will take a very long time for people to start going again .

I would like to hear your thoughts on this. Would you go to Tunisia or would this put you off?
