I still find it hard to believe that many people are still “Cruise Virgins” and have never been on a cruise and in fact many people find the whole subject quite daunting! Even my own mother thought she was not posh enough to cruise and my dad said he did not want to spend his holiday being confined to a fishing trawler. It’s an exciting time for us here at cruise.co.uk as in the past few days Royal Caribbean have announced that their new Quantum Class Ship, Anthem of the Seas, will be sailing from the UK in 2015 in direct competition with P & O Cruises, Britannia.

As Halloween is imminent I thought I would try and find the top 10 morbid cruise destinations. I honestly thought I would have trouble coming up with 5, so was surprised that my list just kept growing! In some ways I think it’s human nature to have a morbid fascination with death as it is a reminder of our own fragile mortality and I think this is why many of the destinations are where horrendous human tragedies have occurred whether by nature or at the hand of others.
