Fred Olsen – Are you ready for the invasion of Cruisedot?

It’s almost time for the event of the year (in the world of cruise.co.uk at least). It’s nearly time for our Christmas party/conference!

As the majority of our staff are homeworkers it’s a great chance to get together with colleagues old and new for a review of our business (which despite all the doom & gloom of Brexit, recession etc etc is going from strength to strength), as well as having a right old knees up. Our 80’s fancy dress theme for the first night is definitely my era and I quite possibly may have something I can drag out of the wardrobe to wear. It’s also a great chance to spend time on a ship or cruise line that we may not have sailed with before.

This year I am excited to be spending 3 nights on Fred Olsen’s Boudicca. This will be my first time sailing with Fred. I know the ships are not the biggest or most modern and in fact this will be the smallest ship I have ever sailed on with a capacity of just 880 guests, however with the feed back I get from my guests is generally excellent – especially about the food and service. You can read some reviews here.

We will also be getting get the chance to spend a day in one of my very favourite cities, Dublin. It will be super to take in a bit of Christmas shopping in this beautiful city as well as have a couple of pints of Guinness in one of the cosy warm pubs down at Temple Bar. Bitterly cold wintertime is my favourite time of the year in Dublin. One of the things I always have to do is to lunch on oysters at Davy Byrne’s pub which is just off Grafton Street, so I hope I will have time to keep this tradition going.

I will be blogging about my experience sailing on the Boudicca on my return. I hope it will live up to my expectations, so watch this space….
