Wedding in St Lucia

For those of you that read my blog you will know I recently got engaged.

Its official the wedding is booked! We have decided to go to St Lucia. I have to say I was never one of those girls that wanted a big traditional wedding. After spending many years working overseas I always knew I wanted to get married somewhere warm!!

We were not sure how many of our family or friends would come but we have been blown away!! There are now 12 coming along to join us on our special day.

For those of you that like to cruise the Caribbean you may have been lucky enough to visit the Island of St Lucia.

St Lucia main dock for cruise ships is Pointe Seraphine in Castries the capital and it is only a short walk from the centre where you will find ample shopping.

If you want to see a little more of the Island why not go on an organised shore excursion? For such a small Island, only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide there is an awful lot to see and do. I have detailed below some of the popular attractions.

An Island tour will include dramatic views of the Pitons as you make your way to Soufriere to visit the Worlds only drive in volcano. Not only can you drive in and see the bubbling pools of Lava, you can then visit the botanical garden with its spectacular waterfall formed by the sulpher springs.

For those that like adventure take a trail hike or zip line adventure through the St Lucia rainforest.
