Viva Las Vegas!

Christmas is finally out of the way and its now time for me to start getting organised for our first holiday of the year.

In February Charlie is heading down to the New Forest to spend half term with my mum. Chris and I are off to Las Vegas! Its somewhere I have always wanted to visit but its not suitable for a 7 year old. Back last year I found some bargain flights so thought why not! Life is too short so lets make some memories.

I love a plan when we are travelling and as we only have 5 nights I want to make sure we can squeeze in as much as possible. For me the Grand Canyon is a must but I dont think I can face 4 hours on a bus getting there and back. We have found a great tour including a boat ride on the Colorado River, light aircraft over The Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and Grand Canyon. We have a stop off at the South Rim where we can go on the Sky Walk and take the shuttle around Guano & Eagle point. The highlight for me will be the helicopter landing on the floor of the Canyon. The tour is only 7 hours in total so I think this will be the best option to get the most out of our time there.

We have booked to stay in The Linq hotel. Its the very old imperial Palace but its been completely refurbished and is right in the centre of the strip. Surrounding the Linq hotel is the new Linq Promenade with lots of bars and restaurants and the new High Roller. I have pre booked tickets for the high roller as I got a good deal booking before travel.

We have some great cruise packages with a 3 or 4 night stop over in Vegas. With so many flight options from the UK its really easy to combine a holiday to the USA with a few night in Las Vegas. You could easily combine it with a cruise from San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and even New York or Miami.
