Summer 2018 on sale? No Way?! Yes Way!!

Summer 2016 is almost over. Well not for me we have a late break to Turkey next month in October half term. We have just booked a week in Turkey it was such a bargain cheaper than booking a caravan holiday in the UK that was our other option.  I can already hear some of you ‘Ohhh Turkey what are you going there for?’ Well I love Turkey! Having lived and worked there for 2 summers when I was a holiday rep I love the place and the people.  I have lots of friends that have travelled there this summer and they have had a great time. When you get a week in a 4* hotel for less than £600 for 3 of you its hard to turn down!

So we all know that Summer 2017 is on sale already. I am the early booker I believe you get the best offers by booking early. I have already found our Summer 2017 holiday and will get that booked the end of the month. I have found a free child place in school holidays. Unheard of!! I have my way to beat the system. Now school holidays start in Scotland 30th June but we all know in England they dont break up until early July. So we qill often fly from London, take the train down the day before and an overnight hotel before we fly. We have saved over £1000 by doing this in previous years.

Did you know that P&O and Cunard are pulling out all the stops. They have released 2018 cruises already. Would you book 2 years in advance? Even thats pushing it a bit too much for me! Saying that they have some great prices and I think they are trying to fill the ships earlier so they are not left with as much to try and sell at the last minute.

Would you book early? Do you prefer to try and grab a bargain a week before?

We all know cruise lines reduce prices on the sailings they cannot sell. Now this is great if you can go at the drop of a hat. No good for people that get allocated certain holiday dates or families that need to travel in the school holidays. Peak summer dates get booked up first so if you are looking for 2016 and you have kids you will likely be struggling. The cheaper cabins are already SOLD OUT, flights to the Med are pretty expensive for July & August dates so when you think you have found a bargain cruise its not so much of a bargain when you need to add flights on that cost as much as the cruise!! Its not only the prices that are no good its actually finding a ship that still has availability for the kids. There are limits on the number of children on board and already lots of age groups are closed off on some sailings.

The best thing in my opinion is to BOOK NOW – There are some great offers around for 2017 including FREE gratuities & FREE car parking and FREE on board spending FREE All Inclusive drinks packages and buy one get one half price.
