Not much luck for Carnival?!

You maybe heard a while ago about the Carnival Triumph and the fire that broke out in February stranding 4200 passengers for five days without power or working plumbing.

The next thing we heard is that some of the Carnival Sunshine sailings have been cancelled.

The latest problem takes us back to the Triumph. The ship has broken free from its moorings in port during high winds. Gusts up to 65mph in Alabama also blew two shipyard workers and their guard into the Mobile River.

One man was rescued. The US Coast Gaurd is still searching for the other.

There is visable damage to the bow & stern of the vessel, there is also a visable hole on the right side of the stern..

Since the first issue with the Triumph, two other Carnival ships have experienced system problems. One vessel lost back up power whilst docked in St Maarten on the final stop of a seven day cruise, forcing the company to fly passengers home.

They say bad luck comes in three?!! I think Carnival have had their share for now!
