Frozen

So you might remember me telling you about my little trip on Queen Mary 2. Well this time next week I will be on board so I have been having a little look at what’s on in Bruges & Le Harve.

It just so happens my little boy was watching the TV earlier today and I saw an advert for a new Disney film called Frozen. I didn’t think too much about it, I just thought it would be nice to take him to the cinema for the first time to watch it. So there I am today doing a little research on what’s on in Bruges next week when we will be there for the day and I found some information on the Ice Sculpture festival that takes place each year. There is a different theme every year and how fantastic, I have just seen that this year the festival is based on the new Disney film Frozen.

In ’Frozen’, a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter. Elsa, the Snow Queen has cast a spell on the Kingdom Arendelle and Anna, her sister, must find her to reverse the curse. Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey – teaming up with mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven – to find the Snow Queen. Along the way, Anna and her companions must battle the elements in a race to save their beloved kingdom. Encountering Everest-like extremes, mystical creatures, magic at every turn and a hilarious snowman called Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.

The Ice Palace is kept at a cool -6 constantly so we must remember out thermals!! I will also have to have a little drink in the Ice bar. I have been in an Ice bar a couple of times. Once in Thailand and once on board the NCL Breakaway.

So if your visiting Bruges anytime over the Christmas period keep an eye out for the Ice Sculpture festival I cant wait and will update you with some pictures when I’m back.
