We’re all going on our summer holiday…..

So, on Saturday the 22nd July the Smobbs clan shall be setting off on our eagerly anticipated family holiday. Aside from the 2 nights we spent on Celebrity Eclipse and 3 nights in Disneyland Paris we haven’t had a family break for over 2 years, so needless to say, it is overdue and I can’t wait!

We are heading to Northern France to a little place called Fort Mahon Plage and staying on (what the pictures lead me to believe) an awesome family complex with loads going on that will hopefully keep my kids busy enough to allow me to read a good book and recharge my batteries.

Our last holiday was a fortnights 5 star all inclusive to Egypt, a week self catering in France is going to seem a little different, however, we will all just be glad to get away and hopefully get some decent weather.

We have done self catering before and really enjoyed the freedom to explore the resort and go along to our own schedule. I have done my googling and found out where the local supermarkets are to stock up on plenty of croissants and loads of other stereotypical French things I can try and get the girls to eat.

We just have the small matter of packing and route planning to get sorted this week, but with the kids finishing school on Thursday, I think it will be a lastminute.com job. The car has just been put through it’s MOT early as we are driving to the mainland, and for the 1st time since we have had it, it passed 1st time! Hopefully a good omen and a sign of things to come!

Anyway, have an enjoyable week whilst I’m away and there will be plenty of pictures on my return!
