Bucketlist trip to see Pink in New York

This year so far has been filled with lots of exciting short breaks for me and my partner Laura.

So far this year we have been to Poland, Bruges and Iceland and in may we will  be going back to NYC to see the legendary Pink in concert at Madison Sq Gardens this is the last night of her world tour before she moves into Europe this will be an amazing trip and was a birthday gift from Laura to me. This will be our second time to NYC together and my 5th time and Lauras 8th time individually. We just love everything about the city and cannot get enough of it even so that our next cruise is going out of New York in October and finishes in Miami but we are taking a flight back up to New York so that we can celebrate our birthdays in style as our birthdays are one day apart from each other. Some of the things we love to do in New York is buy a subway pass for $20 and that gives us the freedom to go where ever we please one of our longest rides on the subway was all the way down to Coney Island which was a good hour and a quarter each way but because of our pass it didn’t cost us any extra. Coney Island is stuck in a time warp with its 1950 style diners and really old theme park there is a great retro feel to it and the man-made beach is lovely white sand with a great wooden boardwalk that keeps on going with lots of quirky little souvenir shops selling everything you would need for a day out at the beach. This time we are heading over to Brooklyn as I want to walk on the Brooklyn Bridge and will definitely be shopping till we drop as New York has something for everyone in my partners case its usually funky footwear me I am a sucker for a nice handbag. We also go and visit Laura’s friends who own an Irish bar called Nialls where they serve up the traditional Irish pint with some good homemade food and there is a great party atmosphere so would definitely recommend it to you.
