That’s not me just excited for easter either. I am excited about all the new cruise ships launching now.
One of the exciting features on the new MSC ship the Meraviglia is guests onboard will be able to discover culinary delights from French chocolatier and pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury. He has a ship in the Bellagio in Vegas that hosts the world’s tallest and largest chocolate fountain and he will be bringing one to the sea !!

Well I have just returned from my 5th visit to Eurodisney with my family .
Yet again it didn’t disappoint. There was 11 of us in total and we stayed in the Dream Castle just outside the gates and it was great !! We were up at 6.30 every morning and in the parks by 9 am impressingly first in the queue to get in on some days. Even though it was February it was still busy so we needed to fast pass some of the ride which always comes in handy. We were very lucky as we had a few days of glorious sunshine which is always a bonus when you are out all day. We managed to see and do everything in both the parks except 2 rides that were just always so busy.
Even managed to fit a quick cruise in !!
Even in my 40’s its still great to see the characters we queued up with my children nieces and nephews to get autographs and photo’s
We also ate very well in some great restaurants on the park including Planet Hollywood which is a all round favourite.

Ever read the book ‘Here comes the girls’ Its about four friends that had planned when they were younger to go on a cruise together to celebrate their 40th Birthday’s and that is what they did, a great read I would recommend it.
I did it last year for my twin sister’s hen do there was seven of us who travelled just 2 nights of modern luxury onboard the Celebrity Eclipse we had a great time.

I am not just talking about for families ,singles, adults only I am talking about themed cruises. We have probably all heard how P&O do their strictly come dancing cruises where they have classes taught by professional dancers and they hold competitions where you get to perform in front of a celebrity panel. They have the stars of the show on board and hols question and answer sessions to.
Coming from Blackpool I could do well on this one !!! Drag Stars at Sea , yes all the cast of Funny Girls could go on a themed cruise . Royal Caribbean will be hosting this on the Adventure of the seas ,contestants from an American reality show will be hosting .The queens will be holding make up classes so you can learn how to do your makeup as extravagantly fabulous as the stars in the show. They will have parties to remember including a white Ice Party so get your ice skates at the ready !!

Happy new year to you all !! I hope you have had a lovely Christmas and a merry new year, I have had a great time with my family and friends. Unlike a lot of people who dread going back to work and suffer from the January blues I LOVE IT !! I have to say we have literally not stopped here at Cruise.co.uk and have been working round the clock but one thing is,its great for the new years diet.
As we are in the new year now it’s great to look forward to all the lovely things we have planned throughout the year whether it be holidays, weddings, trips to the theme park in the world of cruise as always there are plenty of things happening to look forward to .

Well this year will be the first time ( except when I was on Maternity leave) that I will be having all of Christmas and New Year off work in my travel career of 26 years. This will just top of an amazing and busy December I have had.
Its started with a girls Christmas shopping weekend in Manchester and a visit to the markets , although I have to say there wasn’t a lot of shopping done but plenty of laughing eating and drinking. The weekend after it was my birthday and we had a lovely day out again in Manchester but this time the husbands joined us.
It was then time for the Cruise.co.uk annual conference where we boarded the Fred Olsen Boudicca in Liverpool and visited Dublin for the day.It was a great 3 nights had an insight to what we have coming up in the word of cruise and also celebrated all of our success in the last year. It also reminded me of what a fantastic company and group of people I work with.
The first night was 70’s fancy dress and here is a picture of me with my friends and the cabin steward heading out to meet the rest of the group. In case you don’t recognise or remember we were Care Bears.
I also managed to fit in a night with my best friends for a Christmas drink and a meal out with my husband before the big man came on Christmas day.
Christmas for me is all about being with family and it is pretty crazy for us, we hire a room so all 25 of us can be together.
While you are reading this I will be away with my husband and 2 children and our dog. We have booked a lovely little cottage with an open fire in the lake district to take us through to the new year, plenty of walking and family time and NO WIFI !!!

I was listening to an article on the radio the other day that the number of people working from home has increased by a fifth in the last ten years and now equates to about 1 in 7 people.

My final update on my recent trip on Independance of the seas is all about my dining experience.I can honestly say I was not disappointed with one meal I had.You can literally eat 24 hours a day.
The group was on second sitting which was 8.30 in the main dining room The Romeo and Juliet. The choice in there was great something for everyone and the staff were very attentive and gave us their recommendations at every meal.
Also in here you can have A la Carte Breakfast from 7.30am to 9.30am and lunch from noon until 1.30pm.

Ok so my last blog was a brief introduction of my short cruise on the Independance of the seas. This week I thought I would share with you my experience of the entertainment.
With only having 4 nights onboard as you can imagine it was action packed and we tried to experience as much as we could. There is just so much to do on board. The one thing that you can 100% say is there is something for everyone so is a great ship for those multi generation trips.

Blog 1) I have just returned from a little break away with work on the ‘Independance of the seas’.It was a small group of us from different departments here at Cruise.co.uk. We had the pleasure of spending the 4 nights with our sales director Andrew , unfortunately for him he was alone with 17 females.
