I’ll Drink to That!!

A hot topic in the cruise industry is beverage packages!! Whenever I cruise I always make sure that I have some level of drinks package as I don’t like the feeling of having to worry my bar bill at the end of the cruise. I would rather pay upfront so I can work my way down the cocktail menu.

Cruise lines have several different packages to choose from whether you just drink soft drinks or you want to drink from sun up to sun down, there is something for everyone. I have included some details below regarding the drinks packages available with the cruise lines that  have sailed with. All prices include taxes, gratuities and are subject to change by the cruise line.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises offer a few different packages but I have included the 4 most popular ones;

• Soda Package – $9 per person per day: Includes Unlimited fountain and canned soda drinks.
• Standard Drinks Package – $55 per person per day: Soft and alcoholic drinks by the glass up to the value of $6.
• Classic Drinks Package – $65 per person per day: Soft and alcoholic drinks by the glass up to the value of $9.
• Premium Drinks Package – $75 per person per day: Soft and alcoholic drinks by the glass up to the value of $15.

MSC Cruises

MSC packages vary depending on destination. I have included the details for the drinks packages that are on offer within Europe, the prices can also vary per sailing;

• Mealtime Restaurant Drinks Package – Approximately £19 per person per day: Unlimited wine (a choice of 2 white, 2 red and 1 rosé), mineral water, draught beer, sodas and fruit juices during lunch and dinner.
• All Inclusive Bar & Restaurant Drinks Package – Approximately £23 per person per day: Unlimited soft drinks, fruit juices, mineral water, hot drinks, non-alcoholic cocktails, smoothies, milkshakes and take away ice cream in a cone or cup
• Deluxe Drinks Package – Approximately £40 per person per day: Unlimited spirits (Premium brands are included), liqueur, aperitifs, classic and Premium cocktails, wide selection of wines by the glass, draught and bottled beer, non-alcoholic cocktails, soft drinks, juices, mineral water, energy drinks, espresso and cappuccino, drinks from the theme bar menus, minibar, and drinks and food from room service menu.

Fred Olsen

Fred Olsen has a great all-inclusive option for only £15 per person per day. This standard package includes selected soft drinks, beers, ciders, wines, cava and spirits by the glass. You will also get a 50% on premium branded drinks.

Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises offer 2 main packages;

• Unlimited Soda & More Package – $9 per person per day: Includes fountain sodas, fresh fruit juices, hot chocolate and hand-crafted “zero-proof” mocktails.
• Premium beverage Package – $69.95 per person per day: Includes soft drinks, specialty coffees and alcoholic drinks by the glass up to the value of $12.

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean has 3 main drinks packages;

• Soda Package – $9 per person per day: Includes Unlimited fountain and canned soda drinks.
• Refreshment Package -$30 per person per day: Premium soft drinks package including specialty coffees.
• Deluxe Drinks Package -$65 per person per day: Unlimited and bottomless soft and alcoholic drinks by the glass.
