On the 17th January, I headed up to London and checked in the Hub by Premier Inn London Westminster, which is such a cool hotel right near St James Park Underground Station. We were met in the hotel lobby at 17:45. We were all dressed up and excited for the night ahead. We were met at the doors by Paparazzi which was very exciting.
The awards were held at Grosvenor House in Park Lane and it was a great venue and definitely much bigger on the inside. Straight away you could see many suppliers from across the Travel Industry. The night started with a drinks reception upstairs which I saw many familiar faces from both Cruise.co and other companies. My New Year’s Resolution is to not drink alcohol, so I was on water for the night and it was still such a great night with an amazing atmosphere.
At 19:00, we headed downstairs for the Awards and Dinner. The tables were arranged beautifully and the food was fantastic. We also got little surprise gifts on the table such as a monkey cuddly toy from Vivid Travel and a 6 months magazine subscription from Hearst. Around 21:00, the six other winners and I were starting to get nervous. It was time to head to the stage to din out who had won the £32,000 expedition cruise. I stood in front of balloon number 5 and instantly regretted it as I saw the red confetti in ballon number 3 but we were all happy for the winner and it was a great night to be a part of. You can see the moment that we found out the winner below.
The night was filled with fun and Celebrities. We had appearances from Peter Andre, John Barrowman & Phillip Schofield. The Globes definitely did not disappoint. I have included another couple of photo’s below from the evening.
