Lovely Weekend in Nottingham

This weekend myself and 3 friends decided to take ourselves off to Nottingham for the night to have some girly time together. We arrived late morning on Saturday and had afternoon tea booked at “The Larder” to start our day off. One of my friends had recommended this as she had been there many times and we were not disappointed. We decided to go for the Prosecco Afternoon Tea which at £18.95 a head was well worth it. We were served a glass of prosecco, four finger sandwiches,4 petit fours, 2 scones with cream and jam and a pot of tea. For anyone visiting Nottingham I would thoroughly recommend this as it was a lovely way to spend a few hours on a Saturday afternoon although not so good for the waistline.

After a spot of retail therapy it was off to the hotel to get ready for our night out. We had a lovely meal at Sinatra’s then went on to a few bars for drinks and then ended up in a music bar till 3am.  The highlight of this was the revolving dancefloor which was pure entertainment value watching everyone trying to get on and off it after a few drinks (us included) Fortunately for us all we managed to stay on our feet and got back to the hotel in one piece (albeit 3-30am)

Today, being the morning after the night before, was a different story with us all having a good all moan about thick head’s we had from too many bottles of prosecco and sore legs and aching limbs from dancing. All in all we all had a great time with lots of laughs and funny stories but why is it as you get older these things take so much longer to get over. Maybe its time to remember that we are getting older but I’m not ready for a rocking chair and knitting yet!
