Crystal Cruises join in the Festivities

Now we are in October the Festive season is just around the corner and people will be starting to think about how to celebrate Xmas and New Year. There are many cruise lines that have cruises over the festive season to different destinations, and celebrate in different ways. Crystal cruises have announced that they have special voyages to ring in 2017 in style in Sydney, Dubai the Caribbean and the European Rivers. Crystal Symphony will be in the heart of Sydney and guests will be on two specially chartered catamarans where they will also enjoy a meal and champagne while watching the firework display. Crystal Esprit (Crystal Yacht Cruises) will be in Dubia and will have a VIP vantage point to watch the 19 minute show. Crystal Serenity will be in Miami and Crystal Mozart will be on the Danube.

For people who are not fortunate enough to be able to afford such lavish affairs then there are plenty of other cruise lines that you can enjoy. I personally like the short cruises that P&O have for New Year which are 4-5 nights in duration and visit either Amsterdam overnight or Hamburg. I have been on these for the last couple of years and they are great fun. The ships are decorated beautifully and there is a lovely festive, friendly atmosphere onboard. Last year unfortunately we didn’t get into Amsterdam due to the weather conditions s but P&O put on entertainment and quizzes to keep everyone entertained during the day of New Years Eve and it was nice having a relaxing day at Sea on 1^st January after a later night celebrating. I will be doing the same cruise this year and have already booked the 5 night sailing to Hamburg for New Year 2017.

Celebrating last year on Ventura

 New Year 2016 Ventura will be departing Southampton on 29th December for 4 nights  visiting Zeebrugge (Brugge) Amsterdam and a day at sea before returning to Southampton on 2nd January. Arcadia will be Departing Southampton on 28th December for 5 nights visiting Zeebrugge (Brugge) and Hamburg with a day at Sea before returning to Southampton on 2nd January. In 2017 Oceana will do the Amsterdam route and Aurora will do the Hamburg route.

There are still places on the cruises for both this New Year and Next New Year so if you haven’t decided what to do why not jump onboard.
