The race is on with Ferrari and Ncl……

Just when you think that you’ve seen it all on a cruise ship ,  Ncl go and announce another world first with the introduction of the first Ferrari branded racetrack at Sea.

Personally this isn’t really my cup of tea and I could think of much better things I would like to see on a cruise ship but this news will probably be music to the ears of some people who have always dreamed of racing in formula one and the adrenaline junkies dream come true.

It will be a two-level Ferrari branded competitive racetrack which will snake around across the top deck of the soon to be delivered Norwegian Joy.

It will have space for up to ten racers at one time so a good opportunity to have a competitive race with friends and family to see who really has the best driving skills.

The ship has been custom -built for the Chinese market and is going to be a really impressive feature that will make a big impression on guests on board. If this isn’t enough and guests are still craving even more action then they can try out the open air laser tag course , hovercraft bumper cars or make a splash down the multi-story water slides. This ship is definitely not for the faint hearted.

There will be complimentary rides for guests staying in the Haven and Concierge class grades of cabin as part of the benefits for booking and they will also have a shop on the outskirts of the track so once you have been for your ride you can then pop over and purchase a Scuderia Ferrai watch as a little treat to yourself.

The Norwegian Joy will hold 3,850 passengers and will be delivered at the end of this month where it will be scheduled to sail from Shanghai to Tianjin and then this will be homeport for the mega ship.

Over the years cruise lines compete to have the firsts at seas and it does make me think how far will it go ?? What would you like to see onboard or do you prefer the more traditional and finer things of cruising ?
