The great Royal Caribbean refit on the no1 family ship. Ill be there to check it out tomorrow!

Independence of the Seas is currently just in process of a refit and will come back into service on the 15th of this month. I will be there on its first public sailing so here are some of the new features to get excited about, Im certainly excited about seeing it all for the first time!

Most of the things I’m excited about are appealing to the big kid in me so here goes…..!

Dunes golf course replaced by the Perfect storm water slides (apparently there is still going to mini golf onboard somewhere but water slides are fun!)

New Playmakers sports bar and arcade, I was hoping I would have the dilemma of my team Arsenal being in the Europa league final and this would have been convenient to watch it, alas they didn’t make it to the final but still I’ve got no problem with a sports bar. I do also like a go at some arcade games!

Laser Tag – Am so excited about this personally.

Skypad bungee trampoline experience – sounds awesome although potential to do myself an injury is great!

Finally on the food side of things there is a fish and chips restaurant called “fish and ships” and an Izumi which is a Teppenyaki experience so hopefully Ill get to try one or both of these!

So these are the things that I’m generally excited about trying out and but there are lots of others including a new suite lounge at the top of the ship for suite guests and an increase in cabin capacity so more cabins!
