Does chocolate float your boat?

I love, or should I say adore chocolate so when reading about this new concept  soon to be  introduced on Princess cruises I was a very excited. ‘Chocolate Journeys’ as it has been named will be a chocoholics idea of heaven…think delicious new chocolate desserts, chocolate cocktails, chocolate spa treatments….pure indulgence comes to mind.

Chocolate Journeys will make an appearance later this year on board the beautiful Regal Princess and on the rest of the Princess ships in January 2015. One of the best chocolatiers in the world, Norman Love, has designed this amazing new concept.

Here’s a preview of just what Chocolate Journeys will offer….guaranteed to make any chocoholics mouth water!

The chocolate inspired cocktails look amazing. Cocktails & chocolate…sounds like perfection. I have always very impressed with the cocktail menus on board cruise ships, this chocolate themed choice will be something else. You could try a new chocolate cocktail every day.

The dessert menu on a cruise is always so tempting, I always make sure I have room for my final and best course of the meal my dessert. There will be 15 new chocolate desserts on the menu in the main dining room. There will be more amazing new chocolate delights in the speciality restaurants. The photos look amazing and my mouth is already watering.

Chocolate Journeys has even taken the chocolate theme over to the spa and the treatments….how’s this for a heavenly sounding treatment?…whipped chocolate body mask. It has to beat the usual mud or sea weed wraps. Much more indulgent although as for amazing effects of your skin..well we will have to try this to find out!

The chocolate and wine tasting experience sounds like an experience not to miss. I’ve been to cheese and wine tastings but never chocolate and wine. Norman Love will be behind this experience pairing the perfect wine with your premium chocolates.

How about a  chocolate cooking demonstrations  hosted by one of the  pastry chefs. who will all be trained by Norman Love. Now I’m not a fan of cooking , but cooking with chocolate and making chocolate treats could tempt me.

The captain’s cocktail party is always a very special event on your cruise, I remember my first ever cruise on board the Sea Princess and I can still remember the champagne tower and how amazing the atmosphere was . ‘Chocolate Love Pops’ , otherwise known as chocolate lolly pops will be served at the party as you enjoy your glass of bubbles….definately more exciting than the usual savoury canapes.

So is your mouth watering yet? Mine certainly is….I think that Chocolate Journeys is going to be a hit for sure for Princess. It’s indulgent, luxurious and any chocolate lover’s dream!
