We've not done a cruise over there but have visited Florida many times (without children!) The weather will be warm, but almost every afternoon you will get a heavy rainshower .. soon over and spoils nothing. We've stayed in several villas as well as hotels ,and the villas are fab, most having their own pool. Don't be wary of going to the parks as there is lots for adults of all ages to enjoy (at Xmas they look wonderful).. check out their websites; you will also find that there are lots of 'good' restaurants to be found (not all fast food!) The shopping is very good .. Mall at Millenia, Florida Mall and the outlet areas in particular. I could go on and on .. you will have a great time. Sue.

Thank you Sue for your feed back, every little bit of info helps I am a disabled lady and will be taking my wheelchair with me and so was wondering weather this destination was suitable for me ( me being the one who will be almost 70) lots of family to aid me though anyway what you have said makes me feel a whole lot better, most admit though I am looking forward to the cruise. Pleased you mentioned that you prefered villas rather than the hotels, I believe the one we are staying in has a private pool. Could you help with feedback on what we should take to wear? (temperature wise)Thanks again Sue. Regards Kathleen.

Sounds like something that JK Rowling could use a title for one of her novels but in the real world the word supplement strikes fear into the heart and wallet of many a single traveller. We receive quite a few enquiries where people make a comment about supplements and how unfair they are, but is the cruise industry cashing in or are the supplements part of a wider dilemma? Take hotels for instance; they charge a room rate and it doesnt matter if there are two people in the room or one perso...

Adonia back with P&O

By Gemma Coles

Gemma Coles's blog

It doesn’t seem that long ago when we said goodbye to the P&O Adonia. P&O Adonia left the fleet in 2015 with much sadness to lots of passengers. The ship went to Fathom Cruises which is a line dedicated to volunteer tourism. Guests were taken to locations such as the Dominican Republic to help teach English or build water filtration systems to help with poorer countries. Carnival Group have now announced that after an upgrade to the ship, with the addition of a new rest...

The P&O Adonia left the P&O fleet in 2015 year and headed to Cuba on a new venture and was re named Fathom. The would help build water filters and teach English to the locals.P&O loyal customer will be very glad to hear that the smallest ship is coming back to Southampton in summer 2017. The ship only has a 710 passenger capacity and is adult only making i...
