I was on this ship in April and I can re assure you that the ship IS NOT IN A SORRY STATE. I have been on her 4 times twice last year for 5 weeks in total and 3 weeks this year. She is in very good nick and has had new carpets etc. and also I have seen absolutely no sign of rust anywhere. There were rumors rife about her going to Ocean Village. As I have said elsewhere, that was denied by the Captain on board in April, publicly, as the rumers were everywhere on the ship. There was also a rumour that she would be going to Alaska. Since then the 2009/10 schedules have been published and as far as I can see - she is in the caribbean again this winter and on to the med etc. next year. My daughter works on Ocean Village and they havent heard any rumours of a third ship being added or gaining sea princess as a substitute for one of those currently in service. Funny how rumers get round. Never know, we may give them some food for thought though !!!!

Ocean Village and Princess cruises are part of the Carnival group. If this takes place it is yet another inter-group transfer.

Hi Folks, Don't know nothing about the condition of the ship but I did receive a newsletter saying that Sea Princess is being replaced for the Med in 09.

Small ships are wanted!!

By Neil Holmes

P&O have announced that their small ship Adonia is to return to their 2017/2018 season. The ship was much loved by the P&O faithful and when she left the fleet to help with humanitarian work overseas there was a big hole to fill as many of the P&O fleet are larger ships and P&O were losing some of their passengers to cruise & Maritime and Fred Olsen. From June 2017 she will start Mediterranean, round Britain and even an Iceland sailing. The smaller more interesting ports w...

Five Of My Favourites !

By Camilla Edwards

Camilla Edwards's blog

Well its very nearly Christmas and all I wish for now is some snow! Walking the dog this morning everywhere was frosty and white, made me really feel in the festive spirit. One of the best things personally at this time of the year is the food and celebrations associated with Christmas and New Year, so this week I have decided to blog about 5 of my favourite places to eat. Some on cruise ships, some not.Fed Olsen Balmoral. I always enjoy the food on Fred`s ships and Balmoral last year was no...

Adonia makes a comeback

By Ruth Gale

Ruth Gale's blog

Great news from P&O that the very popular Adonia will be returning to their fleet next year. With ships getting bigger and bigger it is getting very difficult to find suitable cruises for the many people that still prefer the smaller more intimate ships like Adonia.Adonia previously left the fleet to operate Fathom cruises designed for voluntary tourism. Passengers were taken to destinations to help teach English or to help on building projects. It was a great idea but the ship was sadly m...
