Find Your Cruise
Probably the same as it was this year, which was more limited that on other RCI ships - outside on decks 4 and 11, on balconies, and the only inside place was The Dungeon night club and there is the Cigar Smoking lounge (cant remember the name). But as Neil says, they may change this next year.
This is the current state of affairs as far as smoking is concerned: Effective January 2008, smoking is only permitted in designated areas and outdoors on the Starboard side of the ship (contact the Guest Services for details). Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, hallway or corridor. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on Oasis class Boardwalk or Central Park private balconies, however, it is permitted on private ocean view balconies of balcony/suite staterooms. A $250 penalty will be applied to the SeaPass for guests found smoking in staterooms or on the private balconies in Boardwalk and Central Park onboard Oasis class ships. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. A guest must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard.
I would add that both the Sister companies, Celebrity and Azamara, limit smoking to one inside spot and one outside area and that could be brought into existence on RCI ships sometime in the future. It is being applied to many of the cruise lines as a matter of progression. There is no guarantee with any cruise line what their future policy will be.... Neil
