Currency on board is in dollars, you get a Sea Pass "CREDIT CARD" as you board and all purchases on board are charged to the card, their are no cash transactions. Drinks on board are around $7 a beer and $8 to $10 for cocktails so around 5-7 euros a go, (there is 15% service charge added on purchase prices). I think the main shows in la scala were very good and very professional, The ice show is a must you cant miss it. Excursions "the one's we took" were good and fairly good value, they also took the worry out of making it back to the ship in time(Amalfi drive, sorrento, monaco and florence were highlights for us).I would suggest skiping out on some days and just staying on board, it's just to much like hard work trying to take them all in, nice to relax and enjoy the ship on a couple of days a few beers and a lie on. It is a great trip I fail to see how anybody could not enjoy it. So Enjoy.

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to know the s those people you see tr...

Well, I am just back from my 3rd stay on the Thomson Spirit, and yet again, it was a wonderful experience. It has been called the friendliest ship at sea and I certainly could not argue with that, you feel like one of the family. As Thomson continue to modernize their fleet, with the TUI Discovery 1 & 2, and the Explorer next year, the decision has been made to let both the Spirit and the Majesty go.What the ship may lack in modern technology, it more than makes up for in other ways. The foo...
