Blyth - Answered a Question by MCILDUFF (10 Sep 08 20:51)

Yes there will be a channel on your TV in your cabin which will allow you to do this but keep the receipts you pick up and check them off with the information you can see on your account and if then happy you can destroy them, but that might be a bit boring to do on a holiday but it does mean any error is picked up by you quickly. One I had this year showed I was in fact buying a drink in the bar when in fact I was in the Cinema involved in the muster station drill, but that was the only error I have picked up in sometime.

Was on Sea Princess last November, and the facility to look at your account on TV in your stateroom was not available then. On Grand last month, and not available there either. Think it's only on newer ships.

This does surprise me, most ships now have this it does make life a lot easier keeping tags on all the items you pay for whilst on board a ship - Thanks Bill.

Robertson - Answered a Question by MCILDUFF (11 Sep 08 21:23)

Absolutely, you can check on the tv in your stateroom, call pursers office from stateroom phone or pop down in person, also you can pay at any time so every few days we settled the bill in cash. Then we simply ran up more charges for the next few days. Keep receipts though as some times you get a couple of sneeky additions.

By Richard Smith

Richard Smith's blog

A good client of mine recently returned from a Celebrity Cruise over the Christmas and New Year period and was surprisingly disappointed with some aspects of it even though they have had highly positive experiences sailing with them previously. One of the aspects of the cruise that my client was disappointed about was the lack of Christmas celebrations on-board. He said that there was no Turkey roast lunch on Christmas day or crackers on the tables, but what most surprised him was the fact tha...
