The larger Islands are easy to get around but the docks on a couple of the islands are a bit out of the way and to far to walk anywhere we were there last year and loved the islands Pearl Harbour is a must our only regret was not doing the helicopter flight over the erupting volcano my brother did and his video was amazing have a great time and see as much as you can.

My friends and i went on the 29th September. Islands were lovely but we decided to book our excursions on line before we went. Our tickets were delivered to our cabin and you could cancel them if you had changed your mind as long as you did on the time they gave you on the information delivered with the tickets.I think that we did the right thing because some of the trips we really wanted to go on were sold out and it saved us standing in any cues hoping that someone might have changed their minds.Don`t miss the Polynesian Cultural Center Lua and show it was one of many highlights of our tours worth every penny. Ensenadas on the way back to Los Angeles is a welcome break the wine tasting and cheese trip is very good and you get a free bottle of wine (can`t be bad) enjoy your trip which i`m sure you will.

Any one who has followed my Blog over the years knows that my favourite type of cruising is river cruising. I did my first river cruise about 6 years ago, the first of many, and I have never looked back. It ticks all the boxes for me, small ships, friendly staff and passengers, fabulous scenery all day every day, and being docked right in the centre of which ever city you are visiting so no long transfers, not to mention fabulous food!I just find that I enjoy these cruises so much more...
