Freemantle - Answered a Question by Potts (15 Nov 08 12:26)

I have heard lots of positive things about this ship. We are going on her in May next year so will write a review on our return. I suggest you go to the P&O site and register on her Community section. You will find there is a section on the Ships area of the site devoted to Artemis and you will be able to read what people who have been on her say. You will also be able to ask any questions you may have. Hope this helps.

Http://www.cruise.co.uk/cruise-reviews/search/?searchsubmit.x=30&searchsubmit.y=13&reviewcruiselineid=&reviewcruiseshipid=11&reviewdestinationid=&action=search This web ref should take you to the Cruise Reviews or use the button above and under ship select Artemis and those reviews don't look too bad.

Peterson - Answered a Question by Potts (15 Nov 08 15:12)

Answer by peterson west yorks. 15/11.08 I have travelled on the Artemis twice. one when it was the Royal Princess. and one as Artemis. I am also going up the Amazon in Jan. 2010. We found the Artemis a really nice ship. very smart and very much like home from home. crew and officers very friendly. nothing too much trouble for them. entertainment good. and food very good. i agree with Freemantle. Fareham about going on the PandO site and following the links. we may meet you on the amazon cruise.

Reead the reviews on this site first - she is not liked by all. Many feel the cabins to be very small.

Rum Runner - Answered a Question by Potts (15 Nov 08 19:59)

Travelled on Artemis earlier this year. Food was good as was service although the ship is somewhat dated now. We thought the cabins were a reasonable size and the public rooms are well laid out and spacious. Buffet dining is a trial to endure on this ship. The buffet seating is so cramped and only one counter seemed to be in use at any one time so we had most meals in the main dining room which is fine. The decor is restful, some would say bland. Crew were fine -helpful and accommodating.

Fancy a Movie Night in or Away?

By Haydn Jones

There is nothing my family love more than cuddling up of a Sunday night , curtains closed, eating microwave popcorn and watching a movie. Its become a Sunday night tradition in our house. Although there is something my two boys love slightly more – movies under the stars on a cruise. We often end up missing the shows and evening entertainment, because for them this is the perfect treat. Sun loungers, blankets, hot chocolate and even pop corn and pizza bought to you whilst watching a fil...

He Cannot Be Serious...

By Anthony Burke

Anthony Burke's blog

Well the day has come and gone. As you know from my previous blog the big day has come and gone. And Im officially 40! Do I feel any different? Not at the moment but lets see if this whole ‘life begins’ is true…..On a more serious note I couldnt believe the news I read that disgraced ‘Captain Coward’ Francesco Schettino made a statement saying after arrival at his jail cell – he would cope with jail and start by going back to being a ‘ship boy’ ...
