Are you talking about the sulphur springs. We took a tour that drove us to an adjacent car park. the walk around the springs while it was all on uneven ground, was very easy to do. no 35 steps as I remember.

From where the guides start their tour at the suphur springs you have to decend some steps 15 to twenty then climb up to the viewing point steps and steep slope. If in doubt stay at the starting point where you can see the vents emitting the steam. On the other hand if you wish to wallow in the mud there are fewer steps to negotiate. All well worth it. Have a good time.
