Some photos of the area used for passengers on Days at Sea during the Portraits of the Past Cruise ending May 2013 being accessed from the stairs at the bow on Promenade deck usually closed off.( IT IS NOT KNOWN AT THE TIME OF POSTING THIS IF THIS WOODEN DECKED AREA IS STILL IN USE FOR PASSENGERS)

One more thought for you. When I was trying to book The Salisbury for our visit last April I kept getting the fully booked message until I realised that it was because they had not "opened" their reservations diary that far ahead. If you still have The salisbury as your first choice try enquiring for earlier months via the website until you get an idea of when they release rooms.

Recent reviews for Carnival group ships said they departed from a terminal on Hong Kong Island, check with your TA to find out where your ship will be berthed and then go to www.tripadvisor.com when you have an area to search, a Kowloon side hotel will be an expensive taxi ride if its on the island.
