My husband and I are joining Aurora at Auckland for the journey back to Southampton. We have previously done sectors of World Cruises and loved it. It is similar to short cruises but better. More choice of entertainment to suit all tastes (some still complain it is not good enough) Food was better. Also found the other passengers more congenial than on some recent cruises - except for sectors around Australia! You pay your onboard bill and tips by sector and this could be a good time to change restaurant and table so that you have a change of dining companions.
I have done a sector of the world cruise from Sydney to Mumbai, I disagree with Sim of Cheltenham, but of course eveyone has their own opinion. Sailing around Australia to India was fantastic, everyone is very friendly and you get to know one another quite well on a 4 to 6 week sector.
The shows are as first class as ever, they fly in many different acts over the sector.
One thing is that if you do all your trips with p and o it can be very expensive.
