When we left the Norwegian Jewel at 9 am we took the taxi to Sants Station and left our luggage in the lockers at a cost of 4.50 euros a locker. They did offer an excursion on the cruise ship on the last day to go around Barcelona for the day and also one to Monserrat and Barcelona and then a drop off at 5.30 at the airport, but unfortunately the one we booked for i.e. Monserrat was cancelled due to not being full. After going to the station we then travelled all day on the open top tourist buses and saw Barcelona that way. Then collected our luggage from the station and took the train to the airport. This worked out very well as our flight was 8.15 pm. Do be alert and be careful of thieves at the station.

Hi We did the Cruise on Norwegian Jewel last year. As you have to be off the Ship VERY early, your best bet might be to book the excursion that takes you and your luggage around the wonderful sights of Barcelona and then takes you to the Airport to get your flight. Have a great time Jacqui.

There is a storage at the airport. They charged per piece of luggage.

Hi..a bit late now but we booked the same NCL cruise via Travelsphere of Market Harborough,we got 3 days in a good hotel in Barcelona plus various tours before picking up the ship for the 7 day cruise..all for a price cheaper than NCL brochure price..our luggage was secured on the coach which collected us from the harbour whilst we had half a day to look around Barcelona, the coach then collected us with a rep to take us to the airport..all again at no extra cost....suggest you contact Travelsphere for any future holidays (not just cruises).....they are very good and would thoughly recomend them..ps I have no connections with Travelsphere .

Traditional or Freestyle ? Whi...

By Camilla Edwards

Carnival`s decision to introduce a new rule of traditional diners on their ships made me think of the whole subject of when, where and with whom do you choose to dine on your cruise. On board Carnival Glory and Carnival Conquest passengers who opt for first or second sitting traditional dining will be turned away from the restaurant if they are more than 30 minutes late for their selected seating. So that means be there on time , and probably queue to get on, or go to the buffet.Dining time s...

Last week I enjoyed an extended weekend away to visit my family in Wales, mainly to celebrate my beautiful nieces 18th birthday. It was lovely as I had my own family with me for the weekend part, then I had some well needed pamper time with my sister (well a dip in her hot tub!) oh and yes it was my birthday also so went to see Coldplay in Cardiff.Cardiff did not disappoint, 41 years on from the hottest summer ever, it was bucketing rain all day! A bit like last year when I saw the Manics in...
