Travelled on Braemar to Norway, and on QM2 from NY to Southampton. Loved both! QM2 was faultless, and high quality in every way, but you get what you pay for and it's dearer. Fred Olsen however has an intimacy that the large ships can't touch, and at the end of a week onboard, you have made many new friends. On QM2 you rarely meet the same person twice as it's so large. For a bugdget line, I found Olsen's food excellent. The six dinners we ate on Cunard were among the best I have ever tasted.
