There are smoking areas inside ship, and specific areas outside. But not allowed in cabins. It is worth mentioning that many areas in euorope still allow smokers in restaurants and bars, and they are always crowded.tells a story i think.

The story is….that things are changing. According to statistics about 40% of European men and 28% of European women smoke which is well below half, compared to an estimated 25% of the adult U.S. population. The latest figures in the UK suggest that we will soon be at that 25%, Ireland banned smoking in workplaces (including pubs and restaurants) in 2004, Italy followed with a law against indoor smoking in public places in 2005, the UK banned smoking in many areas in 2007 and France began enforcing a similar law in January, 2008. Other Western European countries with smoking bans of varying severity include Belgium, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Scotland, Spain, and Sweden. Even the die-hard Germans are considering legislation. It will not be so long before it will be frowned on by the general populace. I know many smokers will poo-poo this and say that they have the right to smoke when and where they want but the truth is that the right they currently assume is gradually being taken away because that’s what the majority want. Sorry to be so dogmatic but it is now inevitable….regards….Nei.

We have not been on the Bamoral but the Boudicca had lots of places for smokers inside & out & to be honest it actually spoiled our holiday. We both hate the smell of cigarette smoke as well as bad BO, & it seemed to be everywhere we went someone was smoking. I wonder if the smokers would complain if we all stopped wearing deodorant??? both smells are offensive. it is a real shame as every other aspect of Fred Olsen is top notch, but until they ban smoking we shall travel with other lines where the problem does not seem "so in your face.

Well you are non smokers, good on you, but some of us are smokers and are being restricted more and more , we all consider others, who are non smokers, it is getting out of hand bought about the Government (but why do they smoke in there bar in the commons "its a rule for them & rule for us it was never an issue when years ago you were even allowed to smoke in a hospital ward!
