Neil and Ida Down - Answered a Question by Scott (18 Dec 07 00:24)

Not quite sure what you refer to as "stable" but Fred Olsen has a vast knowledge of seaworthy ships owning a large amount of them. He travels quite frequently on his cruise ships, so I am told. This particular ship was built in the 70s for a very reputable line, Royal Viking, who had some great ships at one time and although it has been "stretched" in the 80s is still a lovely ship which cruises well. The words small but beautifully formed comes to mind. The service on board has gone down, I think in the past few years but so many people have said how much they still enjoy her it has to be a good bet. regards Nei.
