Hi again, I don't know how long you will be at Honningsvag or anything about you but i remember how popular this area is with cyclists and campers. If you are cyclists then this might be an option for you. Web sites say bicycle hire shop in Honningsvag. Tourist office Tel:+47 7847 2599.

As Ingle has indicated (I hope tongur-in-cheek) it would not be possible to walk to the North Cape, it takes about 45 minutes by bus. The excursion is well worth it as the North Cape centre is fascinating. There is usually an alternative trip by boat for bird watching, but if you haven't been to the Cape before you should go. we are going to Norway in the summer and we plan to do the ship's tour as North cape is not really realistic to do independently. As the other two posters have said, it's a very small hamlet and you may find it impossible to get your own transport. Have a good trip though, Angela

Only if you are prepared to walk and its a long way. The port of Honningsvag is a very small hamlet and I dont remember seeing any taxis there when we visited and the only coaches are the ones organised for the ships tours....Brian
