Hi, I went on the QM2 transatlantic in November. Jeans are fine during the day. You cannot go in the Brittannia restaurant in them for lunch, so we had lunch in the pub and kings court. The pub lunches are fantastic.

I feel sure that you could "get away" with wearing jeans during the day and deny yourself the option of dining in the restaurant for lunch. However my question to you and I assure you it is made without any snobbery or aggression - is why would you want to book a superb cruise on a line that is renowned for its elegance and formality and then want to wear jeans? Sometimes it is best to take into account the tradition of the venue you have chosen and also the feelings of your fellow guests. Yes everybody on baord the QM2 could wear jeans but it would destoy part of what you and other guests are actually paying for. I repeat please take this comment in the manner it was inteneded not as a snobby reprimand but just something to think about in order to maxamise your and others pleasure.

Hi, i went transatlantic for my honeymoon in november this year and jeans are fine during the day. After 6pm however in the main reataurants jeans are not permitted. We really enjoyed the dressing up at night. To sum up, during the day, jeans or any smart casual clothing is fine. Happy cruising on the best ocean liner in the world.
