Richard Okill - Answered a Question by Burns (29 Apr 08 10:18)

Hi Rob. The prices are fine. Drinks are as per major cruise lines with the added gratuity. If you like fine wines then they come more expensive but the range is superb. The Internet cost is again reasonable with saving packages based on volume. If you are into photographs, well, what price a memory. Enjoy your cruise.

Price - Answered a Question by Burns (01 May 08 12:50)

Hi Rob, we were onboard at Xmas and found the prices a real surprise, champagne was supermarket price and beers and spirits were less than in a pub here. Some of the wine at dinner could be a bit more expensive but that is dependant on your own perferance. Have a great time.

Rob, drinks prices very reasonable, in Jan 08 our pre dinner of scotch and G&T, or post dinner 2 bacardi & coke were just less than $10 incl the tip. Wine in restaurant we were paying $33-40, could pay less or more.

If you go on Cunard now with the pound so weak a can of Boddingtons is $4.95 plus 15% gratuity??? and a Bacardi and coke is the same, thats about £4 00,not cheap, and why are we paying in Dollars on a British ship.

P&O Cruises recently announced that that would be building a 9th ship to join the P&O Fleet in 2020. This comes only two years after the Britannia was released and I am pleased to say that after quite a few problems she has become a firm favourite in the P&O Fleet.Hopefully P&O will take forward the feedback on Britannia but we are yet to see what this new ship will look like; all P&O have said is that she will be 180,000 Gross tons and carry 5,200 Guests. This is the larg...

Your River Cruise Questions An...

By Hannah Wilson

Hannah Wilson's blog

Any one who has followed my Blog over the years knows that my favourite type of cruising is river cruising. I did my first river cruise about 6 years ago, the first of many, and I have never looked back. It ticks all the boxes for me, small ships, friendly staff and passengers, fabulous scenery all day every day, and being docked right in the centre of which ever city you are visiting so no long transfers, not to mention fabulous food!I just find that I enjoy these cruises so much more...
