How I disagree with this policy which only belongs in the dark ages. It is only in this country that such snobbery could be condoned ( and yes I am English) it really is so so wrong in this day and age to have any type of class differential. I would never cruise with this line, give me an American Celebrity ship any time 5 star for all on board not just for some. It is a disgrace.

On Queen Victoria I think you will find that the following areas are exclusively only accessible to Queen's & Princess Grill passengers: Queens Grill Restaurant, Princess Grill Restaurant, The Grills Lounge, The Grills Terrace, The Courtyard and the Grills Upper Terrace. I stand to be corrected, but I think all other areas are open to everyone. Personally, I think that if you can afford to pay the very high premiums and choose to travel in Queen's or Princess Grill staterooms, you should perhaps be entitled to some exclusivity. I've cruised many times with Cunard, always in standard outside cabins and enjoyed wonderful holidays. I don't understand why some people get so worked up about Cunard being 'class conscious' ships. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful cruise whichever cabin you choose.

You have a choice of accommodation in a hotel, plus a choice of the class of hotel to stay in. why should there be any difference on a ship, which is a floating hotel anyway. If people are prepared to pay quite a lot extra for the privilege of a better stateroom then they deserve to eat in a better, more excusive, restaurant. There is no class" system, just more choices for the passenger.

All Aboard The Caribbean Princess

By Pippa Hayden

So last week was a pretty busy week for me. Living up in Lossiemouth I had a training course in Glasgow on Wednesday and a training course in Edinburgh on Thursday but the highlight of my week has to have been my Ship visit onboard the Caribbean Princess. She was in port in Invergordon for the day whilst on her 12 night British Isles itinerary so I took the chance to hop onboard and see what she had to offer. When I arrived I was greeted in the Piazza by John from Princess Cruise and some othe...

Lovely Eclipse Weekend

By Lee Johnson

Lee Johnson's blog

I have just had a fantastic 2 night cruise on the wonderful Eclipse. The mini cruise was part of my month long 40th Celebrations and was a little getaway for me and my partner. It is the first time in 14 years that we have been away without the children and although we missed them we had such a great few days.We started the break by heading down to Southampton, which is a bit of a trek from Barrow-in-Furness but I find it no problem by rail. I would recommend staying over in Southampton the ...

Silversea was not meant to be!

By Barbara Hopley

Barbara Hopley's blog

On Monday 22 May I was booked to go on a ship visit of the ‘Silver Whisper’ by Silversea Cruises. We get invited to see ships all the time but do them on our days off as too busy to take time out of a working week. That’s how dedicated I am to see as many ships as possible as so much easier to sell when you have seen them.I had been looking forward to seeing this ship as have never seen a Silversea ship, it had been booked for a few weeks and I made my arrangements at home ...
