We were on in July this year and engines were juddery when docking and turning. Not noticed this to the same degree on other ships.

"The Vessel: I've heard a lot of the Galaxy showing her age, etc., but I can ensure you that it's simply not true. Since the refurbishment in late May/early June of 2008, the ship looks wonderful. It's in great condition, and looks nearly new. ".

I totally agree, based on my Galaxy cruise in July 2008. I really couldn't fault the ship in terms of general condition and comfort, but then I'm no expert as I had never cruised before. I would be be very happy to cruise on Galaxy again; I hope she will remain accessible under new ownership.

We never experienced noisy shaky engines on Galaxy last year. In fact, we could have been on any one of many 'modern' vessels where noise, vibration, etc. was imperceivable.
