Hi I went on a 10 night carribbean cruise on the Connie at the end of November . It was our 1st time with Celebrity, having sailed with RCL and P and O and I thought the ship was wonderful. OK there were signs of wear and tear but nothing significant and this certainly didn't detract from the cruise. The staff couldn't do enough and the food was good and sometimes excellent. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask Pat.

We love Constellation and have always enjoyed sailing on her. The staff and food are excellent. It could be that Constellation might need of a little restoration but there is an ongoing maintenance programme as with all ships and when the time comes she will have a full refit but until then I wouldn’t let that aspect worry you. The Baltic cruise has been well worked for some time by Constellation and the people in charge will be aware of any peculiarities they may come across. Sometimes the American humour is a little different to ours but if you want a good laugh and enjoyment go and see Perry in Michael’s Club, he’s a laugh a minute. ( Having said that I hope he’s not on leave). Reread some of the reviews and the complaints seem to be about personal disappointments like there being no Golf Pro or a door that kept slamming for a day until fixed although there was one particular report that I found awful and quite unaccountable. Read the good ones as well because most of us love Constellation and I am sure that you will and that itinerary too. …….Neil .

I've been on Constellation a couple of times and it really is a lovely ship. Celebrity is a cut above P&O in both service and food. The itinerary on your cruise is wonderful. The sail into Stockholm is truly wonderful - do get up early to sit on your balcony and take in the sights. When I was on this cruise there was a 50/50 split of British & Americans and it made for a super time - loads of interesting people to meet and talk to. Celebrity is the best line I've been with so far (others - P&O mainly; NCL once - maybe do it again, Costa once and never again; and the QE2 [weekend only] - plus Celebrity several times) I may change my mind later this year after a trip on the QM2. I really can't fault Celebrity and I'm sure you'll enjoy your cruise. Andy ps I also went this cruise in June and the weather can be changeable - take some warm clothes just in case!

Went on exactly the same cruise on Constellation in August 2007. Fabulous ship, wonderful food, shows were first class. Had a wonderful time, would recommend it to anyone. Went on Independence of the Seas in 2008 that was also fabulous but of the two I preferred Constellation. Only one thing I missed, in 2007 there were no tea making facilities in the cabin, but our cabin steward brought us a tea tray every morning. Things may have changed since then, I hope they have. Have a great holiday.

Rocky Mountaineer Part Three

By Alana Mills

Kamloops to Jasper. This morning we left for the station early again as the train was leaving at 7.15am.Today I am experiencing the Silver Leaf Service. The Silver Leaf carriages are a single storey carriage but have large panoramic windows with an additional curved glass panel as the roof curves although the centre of the roof is solid unlike on the Gold Leaf. The windows allow you to see the scenery well so dont worry about missing out.The seats were again spacious and comfortable. They are...

P&O Smarten up the passengers!...

By Gina Rowan

Gina Rowan's blog

No doubt you’ve seen the latest notification from P&O outlining their new Dress Code, and its causing some controversy I can tell you!No more ‘questionable’ slogans or images on clothing, no Fancy Dress – only permitted on ‘Theme Nights’, and only what P&O deem suitable. No Denim, Football shirts after 6pm. This type of outerwear will be confined to your cabins! (No mention of Rugby or other sports?) May need more clarification P&O, as wh...
