Might be an idea to do a Nile cruise with a few days in Cairo tagged on the beginning or the end to do the pyramids and Cairo Museum. There is so much to see and learn and wonder at!!! We did a 7 day Nile cruise including flights and excursions for around £500 although the trip to Abu Simbel was extra. We did Cairo from a cruise ship from Suez but it is a very long day.

Neil and Ida Down - Answered a Question by Burnett (11 Aug 08 20:22)

Done it twice, the second time because I couldn't take it all in the first time. Now this is probably not the right reference area for this question. There have been several offers of late coming through by e-mail but I can't remember by whom. I think that you ought to contact Travel Agents to get a good response. Remember that winter is more expensive but less hot, in summer you will fry. ... Neil.

We are people that enjoy a cup of tea in the morning and do not like having to call (or pay) for room service to bring it. I am frequently being asked if there is a kettle in the cabin and it is only really the British C...

Port Or Starboard? Whats t...

Or left side versus the right side of the ship?I suppose it depends on where you’re headed. I know that quite a few seasoned cruisers swear by the Starboard side. Although it really depends on what type of cruise you are on.For instance, if you are sailing in one direction, North or West generally people pr...

My NON cruise holiday this Easter.

By Haydn Jones

Haydn Jones's blog

I’ve just come back from a family Easter holiday to Spain, surprisingly not on a cruise this time. My children are of the age where we have to go away during school holidays. We decided on Benalmadena, Spain as we have been before , its not too far, and the boys love it there. The weather was absolutely glorious, we were so lucky this time of year to have 10 days of boiling sunshine. Benalmdena is a town on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, known for its beaches and the modern Pue...
