Depends what you like to do !! At Dominica, we have been on a tour from one end of island to the other, seeing rain forest, waterfalls, local dancers etc. The last time we visited, we went on the sea trip to see the whales, we saw loads of them, educational as well. Tortola...fantastic, very scenic. If your a beach lover, then just get off ship and jump in a taxi and go to Cane Garden Bay. The taxis our reliable and WILL pick you up !! You normally pay for both trips on your return journey. Great scenery on the way, takes about 15 mins. Worth doing a bit of a taxi trip on best sights, before being dropped at the beach. Margarita...beach right next to where ship pulls in, with bar playing local music, souvenier shops aswell. Grenada...another fantastic island..for the beach, just arround the corner from the ship is Great Anse Beach, shallow, safe etc plenty of sun beds, bars. For $3 get there by the water taxis that are found right near your ship. These will get you there and back, running throughout the day. (It is well worth doing a trip arround the island to see the sights.) You may get serenaded on the beach,!! they are lovely people, who will be very greatfull if you give them the odd dollar. Their woven baskets or hats are a good buy and they travel well, as they are freshly made from the palms. Once home they turn a golden colour. Hope this is of some use. Look up these Islands on Internet and get more info. Have a GREAT CRUISE ! and get away from these artic conditions in Britain !!!

We did same cruise in January, best day was Montego bay, Jamaica, in the morning we took the mini bus to Doctors Cave Beach, approx twenty minutes, cost six dollars for the bus & five dollars to get into the private beach, secure with no harrassment from beach sellers, brilliant beach and restaurant, bar with facilities, we told our driver that we wanted to go to the bird feeding staion after lunch & he introduced us to a reliable taxi driver who appeared as requested at 2pm to take us up into the hillside to hand feed beautiful humming birds, a fantastic experience, driver was with us for three hours & charged a very fair 100 usd total, you,ll have a great cruise on Sea princess, fantastic food and service in Riggoletto's, .

Independence of the Seas voted the best ship sailing out of Southampton will be undergoing a multi-million pound make-over bringing some amazing new additions to bring her up to the modern standards of the newer ships. I sailed on her last August with my family and had an amazing holiday. We all loved the ship, providing something for each of us. The ship was looking a little tired so its no great surprise she is having a refit. She entered service in April 2008 so definitely time to hav...
