Grand Princess

OVERVIEW: WhetherGrand Princessprovides a genuinely relaxing holiday is a moot point, but with many choices and ‘small’ rooms to enjoy, it is an extremely well designed ship – particularly for families with children. The odds are that you’ll have a fine time, in a controlled, well-packaged way.

Oasis of the Seas

OVERVIEW: Oasis of the Seasis large, but it provides a fine all-round cruise and wide range of choices for young adults and families with children, though the service is notably better in suite-class accommodation. The large resort ship is packed with innovative design elements – none more so than t

You can DIY nearly everywhere in Norway. Unless there is a particular excursion that interests you, it is easy to explore on your own. If you are visiting the Lofoten Islands a tour is well worth it as they are beautiful.

Question by Prince, Castleford (16 Jul 10 16:02) about a COMMENT by Cooke (07 Jun 10 08:14)
Hi, we are going to the Lofoten Islands and have tried to book to go to Henningsvaer with Cunard but unfortunately the tour is fully booked. Can you give us any idea of other trips to do independently or is there enough to walk round? Thanks

Sorry the reply took so long, we've just got back from Iceland (lovely trip). I would recommend the trip to the Viking museum on the Lofoten Islands, or the Nusfjord visit. If you are over 60 you can buy a run around bus pass for the day for about the equivalent of £6. Enjoy your trip. Judith
