Costas drink package was great. Did 7 night cruise in Octover 2013 and were able to book the drinks package on the dock before boarding the ship at 19.50 euro per day, fantastic value. Could dring at any bar at any time .

Hi, We love the X1 what a bargin! Needs to be booked at least 14days in advance through your travel agent or Costa if booked direct. (Some agents dont seem to have heard of it but make sure they phone Costa and book it for you. Unlimited (and I mean unlimited) beer wine and soft drinks with all your meals. Only for sale for adults however the staff still bring drinks for the kids. As this is such a bargin approx 11 euros a day please buy one for each adult and dont do what some people do and just buy one.

Went on a caribbean cruise with Costa Fortuna last Jan and was never told about this!!!I have already booked a cruise with Costa again for Oct 09 (Canada and New England) so this seems like a great idea. Can you tell me if the drink package is for meal times only or can you use it in the bars/theatre through out the day/evening? Also is it too early to book it now?

The X 1 package is available during meal times only. In Europe it costs 11 Euro per person. I think that you start thinking to book your package now. We were informed by our Travel Agent that it is not allowed to take only one X 1 package in a twin cabin, perhaps the reason for this is that the package was abused of by previous passengers.
